A 9-week exegetical study in Psalms tracing liturgical practice of supplication + submission through literary structure and Hebrew vocab.
Study with me for 9 weeks as we look at the Psalmist's regular habit of bringing requests before God (supplication) and entrusting the results to Him as well (submission). In this study we'll relearn the concept of prayer, see God's invitation to make honest and reverent requests, and learn again the holy habit of submitting ourselves to God.
If this is your first study with me or your first exegetical study ever, I'm EXTRA excited you're here.
Over the next nine weeks, we'll be working verse by verse through select psalms and tracing the theme of supplication (making a request before God) and submission (surrendering the outcome to God). Everything you need to get started is right here: a printable copy of the text, so that you can mark it up, daily reading assignments, theological commentary, questions for reflection, prayer points, and more. Do you remember those "just add water" toys you eyed as a kid? Well, consider this a "just add your Bible" kind of study. Grab your Bible, and get ready to dive in.
